Some of the world’s greatest poker players are in action at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin after Paddy Power told the dealers to shuffle up and deal for the world famous paddypowerpoker.com Irish Open and we've started our live streaming coverage all the action.

The tournament remains the longest running No Limit Texas Hold 'em poker tournament in Europe and second longest in the world after the World Series of Poker, Las Vegas.

First organized in 1981 by Terry Rogers, a well known Irish bookmaker, the tournament has experienced tremendous growth over the years. Well known for the electric atmosphere and character like no other, this poker festival is now a firm fixture on the international poker calendar and a 'must attend' for many of the top poker players in the world.

The 2010 Irish Open Main Event was won by Englishman James Mitchell, who won a €600,000 first prize. He beat Irishman Paul Carr in a heads up battle where the chip lead was exchanged a number of times; Carr received €312,600 for his second place finish.

This year there will be plenty of poker fanatics battling it out for their share of the prize money and we’re streaming all the action live online meaning that you don’t need to miss a single hand at the tournament.
