Dealer Kate Badurek getting ready for the Paddy Power Poker Irish Open in The Burlington

Irish Open 2012 Qualifiers

The Irish Poker Open Tournament is the longest running No Limit Texas Hold 'em poker tournament in Europe.

Well known for the electric atmosphere and character like no other, this poker festival is now a firm fixture on the international poker calendar and a 'must attend' for many of the top poker players in the world.

The five day tournament is now officially the second longest in the world after the World Series of Poker, Las Vegas and the famous event continues to attract the best players in the world.  Some of the richest poker stars on the planet descend on the Burlington Hotel to play in the main event or one of the growing number of side events each year and the 2012 Irish Poker Open will be no different.

The buy-in for the 2011 event was set at €3,200 + €300 and players were treated to a radical change to the structure in that the starting stack increased from 10,000 to 20,000 chips.  Will it be the same in 2012 or will the organisers have something new up their sleeve?

One thing we are almost certain about is that the 2012 Irish Poker Open will once again feature a Sole Survivor promotion meaning that the longest lasting qualifier in the Irish Open 2012 will walk away with one the most sought after prizes in the game.

Unfortunately for poker fanatics, access to the tournament has previously been limited and it has been difficult to watch the action as and when it happens.

Fortunately for fans of No Limit Texas Hold 'em, we’ll be streaming all the action from the Paddy Power Irish Poker Open live online so you don’t mean to miss a single hand at the world famous event.
